The situational judgment test is not unique to the European institutions. Globally, many companies and public and private administrations use this type of test to recruit their staff: the Public Service of Canada, the FBI in the United States, SELOR in Belgium, to name a few.

Is the situational judgement test really useful?
EPSO introduced in 2010 a new test for European Institution competitions: the situational judgement test (SJT). This test presents the candidate with a work situation followed by 4 possible actions. The candidate must choose the most effective and the least effective actions.
